The proposed restoration and rehabilitation of the fire damaged former nursing home at Fuinary House, Mearnskirk would see an existing building which is surplus to requirements for agriculture and other rural usage returned to its traditional and vernacular style that is in keeping with the turn-of-the-century Scottish country housing aesthetic which is prevalent in rural Renfrewshire, Lanarkshire and Ayrshire.
Where the existing building was structurally sound, it was restored to its former character.
