This proposed feasibility study is located on Albert Drive, Glasgow and will consist of a large temple "Gurdwara" for prayers and other religious ceremonies.
The main requirements were to provide a prayer hall on the first floor, a raised platform for to place the Guru Granth Sahib (religious book) and form a canopy over it with congregation sitting on the floor. After prayers, the congregation will proceed to the Langar Hall (dining hall with community kitchen) on the ground floor for a serving of food.
Furthermore, there is a large community hall attached to the Gurdwara that has a multifunctional use ranging from a religious school, library, meeting rooms etc. The religious school is organised by the Gurdwara giani (priest) to educate persons interested in Sikhism.
